West Campus Crushed by Florin 30-8

West Campus got ambushed by the Lady Panthers of the Gridiron 30-8 at home at Florin HS. Panther Park opened up the snack bar located on the scoreboard side of the field by the portables where they were selling tasty hotdogs, nachos, candy, drinks and otter pops.If you didn’t get a snack you were missing out. 

The Panthers viewed the visiting Warriors as a snack as Florin pounced on West Campus immediately. 

QB1 Jayda Lewis hit Janiya Brister early and often. The first one was a one handed OBJ snag in the endzone that was a remarkable catch.

To show Brister’s versatility, super sophomore, two way receiver and safety, pulled in a slip screen and took it to “the house like?” Woo. 

Brister showed that she can go by someone on the deep ball and has the moves to go to the house on the short ball. 

It was now time for Erin Foster to get into the action. Foster had 4 catches for 42 yards and 2 touchdowns on the evening and 9 solo flag pulls. Foster was everywhere. 

Kat, Ashley Magana, DeAn Preston, Maria Ortiz, Aneesa Perkins, Jazira Arteaga-Khandilyan, Vienna Flores all grabbed flags in the victory.

“We did what we were supposed to do, but we looked like we were in slow motion, sleep walking through a victory”, Coach Harris told Elite Blue Chip. 

“We lost our focus near the end and gave up a score”, Coach Marquez added.

The Panthers scored again on a Foster to Zavanna Payne double pass. Lewis handed off to Foster who then threw it to Payne who high pointed the ball in a defensive mismatch. Payne climbed the ladder and pulled down six more Florin Panther points. 

Everyone played and the Panthers got a much needed Greater Sacramento victory in a 30-8 victory over the West Campus Warriors.

It's The Panthers take on the upstart Burbank Titans on Thursday. The Titans have been a different team since adding track star Regina Karley. The Panthers could be in a ballgame if they take the Titans lightly.
